Mr. Tam Yien, the Vietnamese farmer, started out cultivating many breeds of pepper with many trials and errors. He combined the knowledge he gained from his previous chili pepper farming and own research until he was suggested by Chiatai to grow Red Comet peppers. He discovered that this particular breed produced good quality, easy to grow, impact resistant Red Comet peppers in high volume that meets the market’s demand.

More importantly, compared to other chili breeds, Red Comet peppers give 40% higher produce. And so, the Red Comet peppers farming became Mr. Tam’s main business that earned him profit. It resulted in his farming expansion and his role as a trailblazer in encouraging his fellow farmers in the area to switch to Red Comet pepper farming.
“After switching to Red Comet peppers, our produce went up by 40% "
